
Educational guidance presents an ethical lecture for students of the applied sciences branch

The Educational Guidance Unit in Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in cooperation with the Applied Sciences Branch, held an ethical and educational lecture for students of the second stage in the college conference hall.
The lecture was presented by the Head of the Educational Guidance Unit, Prof. Dr. Riyad Nouri, in the presence of the Head of the Applied Sciences Branch, Prof. Haider Abdel Razzaq, the department rapporteur, Prof. Dr. Abd Ali Jaafar, and the unit member, Assistant Professor Dr. Mahasin Fadel.
The lecture also included several topics, most notably the educational aspect and how to improve it, in addition to combating negative and harmful phenomena in the university, correcting the moral behavior of students, and a complete presentation of the Social Solidarity Fund project, which will contribute to alleviating the burden on those pressured by life circumstances, who are an important segment among students.
In addition to what is related to the duration of this school season, being fully present, stressing adherence to university directives and instructions, avoiding absences to avoid dismissal, and the need to adhere to the uniform and its influential university identity, which reduces class differences among students.
All the interventions and suggestions presented by the students and the obstacles they face were listened to, and the department head and the Educational Guidance Unit pledged to overcome them in cooperation with the Dean of the College.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim said, “Our tasks and responsibilities in the higher education sector are closely linked with the educational and ethical aspect. Therefore, we value the efforts of our colleagues in presenting this lecture and enlightening students’ thinking. Such lectures will be repeated during this season to promote lofty human values and principles in parallel with science and learning.”
