When "feet" turn into "pens," the stadiums speak!...
Nine golden goals were scored by sports professors on the pages of Dar Al-Youssef Press, in a language understood only by the greats... the language of art, skill, and compassion.
As part of the University of Basra's College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences faculty team's preparations for the University Professors' League, the college team played a friendly match against the pioneers of Dar Al-Youssef Press in Basra Governorate.
The match ended with the college team winning 9-2. The goals for the College of Physical Education team were scored by Dr. Haider Awfi (two goals), Dr. Abdul Ali Jaafar (two goals), Dr. Abdul Sattar Jabbar (two goals), Dr. Abdul Halim Jabr (two goals), Dr. Majid Sabbar (two goals), and Professor Muhannad Hassoun (one goal each). The goals for the Dar Al-Youssef Press were scored by the creative and persevering captain Youssef Abdul Zahra Atwan.
The guidance of the faculty team supervisor, Professor Thamer Kadhim, played a major role in achieving this remarkable result. The brilliance of the college team's goalkeeper, Dr. Muntadhar Majeed, also played a significant role in achieving this result. This meeting was attended by many guests, most notably the distinguished captain, son of the Republic, former player of Basra clubs and current teacher, the respected Mr. Sadiq Jaid.
