The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra concluded two volleyball tournaments, the first for the female students and the second for the male students to complement the previous football tournament, which bore the name of the martyrs in its title.

The two tournaments were organized independently, as the female students' tournament was organized according to the group system and individual dropouts for four divisions, one from the first stage and the remaining three from the second stage, where the title was won by Division (I) of the second stage.

As for the students' championship, it was organized between the theoretical sciences branch and the applied sciences branch. The qualified team from the theoretical sciences branch won the championship title.

This is stated by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sabah Mahdi Karim, “Yesterday, the Futsal Football Championship and today two volleyball tournaments, and this is a matter of pride for the university at the level of students and teaching staff, and also encouragement and support for women’s sports in Iraq through the college and its students. that were done for the sake of Iraq and its glory.”
