The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, chaired the electoral committee for the Al-Fayhaa Sports Club elections, reflecting a commitment to establishing sound institutional practices and promoting the principles of integrity, transparency, and democratic sports.

The committee included the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdul Ali Jaafar Mohammed, and the Vice President of the Basra Football Association, Mr. Amjad Mohammed Ali, under the supervision of Mr. Mustafa Alak, Director of the Clubs Office at the Iraqi National Olympic Committee.

This initiative underscores the confidence placed in academic and sports expertise to manage the electoral process, ensuring a professional environment characterized by impartiality, clarity, and adherence to applicable regulations and bylaws. This will strengthen the will of the general assembly and safeguard its right to choose its representatives and leaders for the club in the coming period.

The electoral committee affirmed that its responsibility extends beyond simply managing the voting process. It also includes safeguarding the integrity of the elections, fostering a culture of institutional work, and respecting the will of the general assembly. This contributes to building a sports administration capable of advancing the club's standing and fulfilling the aspirations of its members and fans.
